I hope that everyone had a great break from school and enjoyed the holidays! Just a few updates for here at school:
Next week in writing we are starting opinion writing. Our first opinion piece will be about one of our favorite books and include a lot of details about why they like it, character traits and other information. In order to write a detailed and persuasive opinion piece, students will be using the book as a reference. Some kids mentioned that they want to write about a book that they have at home, so if they could bring them to school on Monday that would be great!
Next week the testing window for the iReady assessment on the computers opens up. Your child will be taking a math test on the computers on Tuesday morning and a reading test on Wednesday afternoon.
